More about Eric Adams

Eric has been a member of the Front Royal Rotary Club for 31 years. He was President of his club in 1980 and District Governor for District 7570 in 1995-1996.

In the District he has been District RYLA Chair for 10 years, and involved on the committee for 25 years. As District Polio Chair for the past seven years, the District raised over $600,000 for Polio eradication. He has founded and visited Foundation matching grant projects in South Africa, Costa Rica, Argentina and India. He was a GSE team leader to Argentina and this year he led a Grant Discovery Team to Mexico, Costa Rica and Panama, where they returned with 16 matching grant projects for his District.

Active in Council on Legislation matters, Eric was a District Delegate to India in 1998; C&B Committee Chair and COL Operations Committe in 2001; and Member at Large to Council in 2004. This year he was appointed by President Glenn to review, evaluate, and make recommendations to the Board of Directors of Rotary International for changes to improve the Council.

With the Rotary Foundation, he has served as a Zone advisor to the Annual Fund and Permanent Fund, and received the Award for meritorious Service from the Rotary Foundation. He has represented the President of Rotary International to many District Conferences not only in the U.S., but in Europe and Latin America. Eric and his wife Linda, are Major Donors to the Rotary Foundation, and Special Bequest Society Members.

In his community, Eric has also volunteered his services. He has been a Trustee of a National Trust for Historic Preservation estate; a vestryman, Sunday school teacher and Trustee of his church; a member of the Board of the local hospital, and is a Trustee of the Northern Virginia Regional 4-H Board.

Here is some stuff about Don Allred

Don has been a member of the Asheboro Rotary Club since 1982. He served as President in 1990-1991 and has 22 years of perfect attendance. He served this Rotary district as an Assistant Governor for two years before becoming the Governor. Both he and his wife, Pat are Paul Harris Fellows and Bequest Society Members.

Don and Pat met at Pfeiffer College. They married in 1967 and graduated in 1968, They spent four years in South Dakota where Don served in the United States Air Force. After his military service, he continued his education at Duke University where he received his Masters of Divinity degree. The Allreds settled in Asheboro and opened an Audio-Vidio business - Duel, Inc. The business grew to five locationsl. In 1998, they went into semi-retirement; although they continue to do video production work out of their home.

Don has been active in the Asheboro community serving as President of the Asheboro/Randolph Chamber of Commerce and as lay leader of Central Methodist Church. He has served on the following boards: the Randolph County Tourism and Development Authority, the Senior Adults Association, the Merce Clinic and the RCS Development Workforce. He currently sits on the board of Carolina Bank.

Don spend most of his spare time doing Rotary work and playing golf. Pat works with Meals-On-Wheels, the Volunteer Center and their church. They hav etwo children: Dustin, a sales representative for RCA in Indianapolis, Indiana and Beth, a high school math teacher in Wilmington, NC. Dustin and his wife are expecting the Allred's first grandchild in September.
