Governor
Jack was "lucky" again with the arrival of the GSE Team from District
3830, Manila, Philippines. Team Leader Doodz Policarpio can be proud of
the impact that his team had on District 7690 Rotarians and on the District Conference.
The team included Red Plana, Bing Ligad, Poppo Turno, & Cyndy Austriaco. Also
shown is an impromtu meeting of Guilford County Rotaractors and some of the GSE
team. The bottom photo was taken at
the farewell banquet. The bond evident between Reidsville's Ted Hopkins'
daughter and Cyndy is the soul of Rotary! The

- District
Conference 2001 was held in the Wilmington Hilton Conference Center, adjacent
to the Cape Fear River Basin.
- Registration
was managed by the Rotary Club of Furnitureland, wearing red, managed by
veteran Keith Sedberry.
- Serving
as Sergeants-at-Arms were members of the new Oak Hollow Rotary Club. Wearing
their yellow shirts.

Jack Green "got lucky" with RI President Devlyn's choice of President's
Representative. Larry and Sarah Wright, from Michigan, were spendid representatives!

Sachit, now an Oak Hollow Rotarian, started his career as in the Youth Exchange
Program. John and Jane Capps were his Rotary parents. John spoke at
the Thursday evening dinner.
